For best viewing, avoid locating the TV where direct sunlight or indoor lighting will fall on the screen. Do not position the TV in a confined area. DETACHING THE TV STAND (Optional) Tools Needed: Phillips screwdriver Important Note: Place TV face down on a padded or cushioned surface to protect the screen and finish. 1 Remove four (4) screws from the metal bracket. CAUTION: Hold the stand firmly as you remove the last screw. 2 Carefully remove the TV stand. Allow adequate space for proper ventilation (3 to 4 inches on the sides, top, and back). TUNER VHF UHF CATV INSTALLING BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE CONTROL Use 2 "AAA" batteries (Not supplied). Be sure batteries are installed correctly. Therefore, the initial start up requires that you press the CH-UP (Channel L) key, enabling the TV to automatically go through the channel search process before you can operate the TV. After the initial channel search is completed, you must press the CH-UP (Channel L) key again to complete the channel search process. This may take several minutes.
