Take the rice cooker out of its packaging and unpack all the attachments. Remove the lid. Take out all the printed documents.
PREPARATION
THE APPLIANCE
· Take out the removable bowl. · Clean the lid and the bowl with a sponge and soapy water. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth. · Dry carefully.
PREPARING RICE

Wash the rice before cooking. The graduated markings on the inside of the bowl are given in litres and cups. The plastic cup provided with your appliance is for measuring rice and the cooking tables state the quantity of rice required for the number of servings. Note: the plastic cup is only used for measuring rice and not the water · For white rice, fill the bowl with water so the water level reaches the mark corresponding to the number of cups of rice you have used. · With other types of rice, such as brown or wild rice, the quantities of rice and water need adjustment.

AUTOMATIC
START COOKING
· At the end of cooking, the Automatic Rice Cooker wil detect the total absorption of the water and automatically switch to the "keep warm" function. At that moment, the control switch wil move to the upper position and the orange "keep warm" indicator will illuminate - Fig.7. · The food remains hot, ready to be served. The Automatic Rice Cooker wil remain in the "keep warm" position for as long as the appliance is switched on. Food left to keep warm should not be allowed to dry out and should be stirred occasionally otherwise it may burn and stick to the bowl.
MANUAL
KEEP WARM FUNCTION
· It is possible to start the keep warm function by lifting the control switch.
STARTING
When you are ready to eat: · Remove the lid. Warning: the escaping steam is very hot. · Safety: collwall body. No risk of burns by touching the exterior body of the rice cooker. Warning: the rice bowl is hot. Always use oven mitts to remove it. · Serve with the spoon provided with the appliance and put the lid back. · The food left in the Automatic Rice Cooker remains hot for a possible second helping. · Unplug the power cord from the outlet. A few tips for the best cooking results with your Rice Cooker: · Measure the rice and wash it in a sieve under running water. · Make sure that the rice is spread over the whole surface of the bowl to ensure even cooking. · The cooking times vary according to the quantity and type of rice cooked. · A thin crust of rice may form on the base, when cooking smaller quantities. Wiping half a teaspoon of oil over the base may help reduce this forming, but this occurrence is not always preventable. · At the end of the cooking time, when the "keep warm" function comes into operation, stir the rice and leave it in the Automatic Rice Cooker for a few minutes to obtain perfect results.

Scouring powders and metal sponges are not recommended. · If food has stuck to the bottom, allow the bowl to soak before washing it. · Dry the bowl carefully. · Do not immerse the appliance in water. Do not put water into the body of the appliance. Water should only be poured into the non-stick bowl.
THE BOWL AND LID
