CAUTION POWER LINES Any outdoor antenna must be located away from all power lines. OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING Do not place this unit on an unstable cart, stand or tripod, bracket or table. The unit may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to the unit. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the unit. Any mounting of the device on a wall or ceiling should follow the manufacturer's instructions and should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer. An appliance and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force and uneven surfaces may cause the appliance and cart combination to overturn. Read and follow all the safety and operating instructions before connecting or using this unit. Retain this notice and the owner's manual for future reference. All warnings on the unit and in it's operating instructions should be adhered to. Do not use this unit near water; for example, near a bath tub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool. The unit should be installed so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, it should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings; or placed in a built-in installation, such as a bookcase or cabinet, that may impede the flow of air through its ventilation openings. The unit should be situated from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other devices (including amplifiers) that produce heat. The unit should be connected to a power supply outlet only of the voltage and frequency marked on its rear panel. The power cord or the plug has been damaged; or B. Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the unit; or C. The unit has been exposed to rain or liquids of any kind; or D. The unit does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance; or E. The device has been dropped or the enclosure damaged. If an outside antenna is connected to your tuner or tuner-preamplifier, be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Section 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-1984, provides information with respect to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes and requirements for the grounding electrode. a. Use No. 10 AWG (5.3mm2) copper, No. 8 AWG (8.4mm2) aluminium, No. 17 AWG (1.0mm2) copper-clad steel or bronze wire, or larger, as a ground wire. b. Secure antenna lead-in and ground wires to house with stand-off insulators spaced from 4-6 feet (1.22 - 1.83 m) apart. c. Mount antenna discharge unit as close as possible to where lead-in enters house. d. Use jumper wire not smaller than No.6 AWG (13.3mm2) copper, or the equivalent, when a separate antenna-grounding electrode is used. see NEC Section 810-21 (j). T 760 NAD 7 E NAD T 760 SURROUND SOUND RECEIVER adores puede producirse interferencia con la recepción NOTA: Si la recepción no es satisfactoria, usando solamente la antena de bucle de AM suministrada, recomendamos la conexión de una antena externa. No conecte ninguna otra cosa sino una antena de bucle en el terminal AM ANTENNA. No quite la antena de bucle de AM. El cable de la antena para la antena de bucle no debe ser superior a 3 metros. ANTENA DE FM Se incluye una antena FM de cable de cinta y debe conectarse al conector de FM en la parte trasera del equipo (Fig. 4) usando el adaptador `balun' que se provee. La antena de cinta debe montarse sobre una superficie vertical y colocarse de modo que forme una `T'. Experimente con la colocación de la antena para encontrar la posición que da la mejor fuerza de señal y el ruido de fondo más bajo. Normalmente una señal FM inadecuada es el resultado de altos niveles de zumbido, especialmente en estéreo, y de interferencia de fuentes eléctricas externas. En áreas de recepción defectuosa de FM, el rendimiento de la sección de sintonizador puede mejorarse usando una antena de FM montada externamente. Un instalador de antenas cualificado podrá asesorarle y montar una antena recomendada para sus condiciones de recepción. NOTAS SOBRE LA INSTALACION Su NAD T 760 debe colocarse sobre una superficie firme y nivelada. Evite colocar el equipo a la luz directa del sol o cerca de calor o humedad. Deje una ventilación adecuada. No coloque el equipo sobre una superficie blanda como una alfombra. No lo coloque en posición cerrada como una estantería o armario que impida el paso del aire a través de las ranuras de ventilación. Asegure que el equipo esté desconectado antes de hacer cualquier conexión. Las tomas RCA de su NAD T 760 tienen código de colores para comodidad. Rojo y blanco son respectivamente audio de Derecha e Izquierda, naranja para entrada digital, amarillo para Video Composite y NAD Link. Use conductores y tomas de alta calidad para rendimiento y fiabilidad óptimos. Los conductores RCA de audio funcionarán correctamente para señales de vídeo, aunque recomendamos usar conductores especiales de vídeo si es posible. Para las entradas digitales use conductores dedicados para transferencia de señal. Asegure que los conductores y conectores no estén dañados en modo alguno y que todos los conectores estén firmemente empujados al fondo. Para mejor rendimiento, use conductores de altavoz de calidad de calibre 16 (1,5 mm) de espesor o más. Si el equipo no va a usarse durante algún tiempo, desconecte el enchufe de la toma de CA. Si entra agua en su NAD T 760, desconecte la alimentación eléctrica del equipo y quite el enchufe de la toma CA. Haga que inspeccione el equipo un técnico de servicio cualificado antes intentar usarlo otra vez. No quite la cubierta, no hay piezas en el interior que puedan ser objeto de servicio por el usuario. Use un paño suave y seco para limpiar el equipo. Si es necesario, humedezca un poco el paño con agua jabonosa. No use soluciones que contengan benzol ni otros agentes volátiles. 2. FRECUENCIA ETAPICA DE AM Los modelos mundiales están equipados con un interruptor que controla las etapas de sintonización de la banda de AM. Rogamos ponga el interruptor para que coincida con la frecuencia de etapa de sintonización de la banda de AM como sigue: · Versión de 120V : 10kHz · Versión de 230V : 9kHz 3. TAPE 1 & CD INPUT (Entrada de Cinta 1 y CD) TAPE 1 Conexiones para grabación analógica y escucha para una grabadora de cinta de audio de cualquier tipo, como una cassette, carrete-carrete, DAT, MD o DCC. Usando conductores dobles RCA-a-RCA conecte con la `Audio Output' de izquierda y derecha de la máquina de cintas a los conectores TAPE 1 IN para escuchar. Conecte la `Audio Input (entrada de audio) de izquierda y derecha a la máquina de cintas a los conectores TAPE 1 OUT (salida de TAPE 2) para grabar. CD INPUT (ENTRADA DE CD) La entrada para el tocadiscos de CD (señal de audio analógica) u otra fuente de señal de nivel de línea.
